Neurosurgery Color Figure Policy Updated
Beginning with accepted manuscripts received by the Neurosurgery publisher’s production office after May 1, 2013, authors may request their figures be reproduced in color in the electronic versions of the journal free of charge and converted to grayscale for print. Further details are outlined in the journal’s updated Instructions for Authors.
For manuscripts currently accepted for publication, authors will be able to request this change upon receipt of author proofs. For manuscripts currently submitted, under review, or requiring revision, authors will have the opportunity to enter their request when the revised manuscript is submitted via Editorial Manager (at the “Additional Information” step).
Authors, please be sure to share this information with co-authors, assistants, editors, etc.
The Editorial Board hopes the availability of free online color will be beneficial to the scientific community. We look forward to implementing these new initiatives, and encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns.
