Krishna et al1 studied 16 patients who underwent anterior nucleus (AN) deep brain stimulation (DBS). Although this was not a large patient cohort compared with that included in the multicenter SANTE (Stimulation of the Anterior Nucleus of the Thalamus for Epilepsy—Recruitment Stimulation of the Anterior Nucleus of the Thalamus for Epilepsy—Recruitment Rhythm) study, it does represent one of the largest single-center patient cohorts already reported (followed by the Korean cohort referenced by the authors).
